Membership
Any resident of Monk Fryston and Hillam over the age of 18 can or a representative of non – corporate organisation can become a member of the Community Association at any time subject to section 9 of the Constitution. Please contact the Community Association secretary for details.

Section 9(1) Admission of new members
(a) Eligibility
Membership of the CIO is open to any resident of the parishes of Monk Fryston and Hillam over the age of 18 years who is interested in furthering its purposes, and who, by applying for membership, has indicated his, her or its agreement to become a member and acceptance of the duty of members set out in sub-clause (3) of this clause.
A member may be an individual, a corporate body, or an individual representing an organisation which is not incorporated.
Section 9(5) Membership fees
The CIO require members to pay reasonable membership fees to the CIO which may be varied from time to time by members at the AGM.
- Open to all qualifying individuals (as defined in 9.1.a), to be taken up annually between April 1st and May 1st for £1 and offers the benefit of preferential opportunity to buy tickets to Community Association events.
- A member must be a paid-up member by 1st May to be able to vote at the following AGM and any SGM in that current year.
June 2021 Membership update
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic the Trustees have decided to extend all existing members membership without the need to renew and until at the earliest after the 2021 AGM which will be held on the 15th September 2021
