An exhausting year which has seen many developments at the Community Centre is coming to an end. During the year-
- our gas heating has been replaced by an Air Source Heat Pump,
- additional energy efficiency work has been undertaken
- new picnic benches purchased
- white lining done in the car park
- planning permission was obtained for the two, soon to be painted, storage containers
- A defibrillator is being purchased to be located adjacent to the playground.
Before we celebrate the New Year two more important events are being arranged. The Village Firework event, staged in conjunction with the Cricket and Football clubs, will take place at the Cricket Field on Saturday 4th November. Plans are well in place so we can look forward to another great village event.
Perhaps not quite as exciting, but important in its own right, is the Community Association AGM which will take place at the Community Centre on Wednesday 13th December at 8pm. All residents are welcome to attend. This will be followed by the regular month General Purposes Committee meeting. Meanwhile, plans are being developed to revamp and hopefully enhance the Community Centre playground.
