The CA’s next event is the Beer Fest. Its an important milestone – It’s the 10th Beer Fest and I’m sure everyone will agree that founder Beer Fest Team member Martin Davies has again and created a stunning poster design.

The full array of the Martin’s designs will be on display at this year’s event on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th. They make quite a montage, which is full of memories. Everyone who has been involved should be proud of what’s been achieved… and of the many, many, enjoyable and funny incidents….. like the time that …. (some things are best left blank!)…

Already, this year the BF Team has been meeting on a regular monthly basis under the leadership of the new Joint Chairs, Robin Parkin and Stephen Fleming. Sub teams are busy working on their allocated tasks, whilst several members of the main team have undertaken the very onerous Research Evening at Wetherby Beer Festival. All came back … alive both physically and with ideas.

A research jolly which produced results!  It now looks like despite our 10- year title Beer Fest and our celebration of the best of unfamiliar local beers, Lager will be added to this year’s offer.

It is another step, in the development of the original idea to what is, in many people’s eyes, simply a great, enjoyable, socially inclusive, village weekend.

It is quite simply, not Munich’s OktoberFest, but our Village SeptemberFest!

Look out for more information shortly as it will be necessary to sign up for tickets earlier than normal to take up the opportunity of Residents ‘Early Bird’ ticket prices.

Sponsorship plays an important part in being able to stage the event by sponsors providing the cash flow for us to be able to pay the ‘up front costs’ which some suppliers such as the Brewers ‘on delivery’ before the event. Therefore, if you feel you wish, or can help the Beer Fest Team stage this fund- raising event for School PTA and Community Association. Please get in touch with the team via www.beerfans.co.uk

We look forward to seeing you in September and ‘having fun whilst fundraising’
